Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of young people with learning disabilities and complex needs? Do you lead by example, bring positivity to your team, and share National Star's values of inclusion, respect and opportunity?
We are looking for a Lead Care and Support Worker to join our team at Bradbury Gardens, our off-site residential provision located within the beautiful surroundings of Pittville Park, Cheltenham.
Bradbury Gardens supports residential students who attend lessons at National Star College. The college campus is approximately 10 minutes away, with all transport and logistics arranged by National Star, meaning staff do not need to worry about driving students between sites.
What you'll be doing
As a Lead Facilitator, you'll play a key role in supporting young adults with learning disabilities, complex physical needs and associated health conditions to live as independently as possible while enjoying a rich and meaningful student experience.
You'll:

Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the service.
Supervise and support colleagues within the team.
Deliver high-quality person-centred care and support.
Work closely with therapists, clinical teams and education colleagues.
Support students both within the residence and in the local community.
Promote independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes for students.
Act as a positive role model who embodies National Star's values every day.

What we're looking for
Above all else, we're looking for people who share the National Star values and have a genuine passion for working with individuals with learning disabilities.
External Applicants
You must have:

A Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or complex needs.
Previous experience leading shifts, supervising colleagues or taking on additional responsibilities within a care setting.

Internal Applicants
You must be:

An existing Advanced Facilitator or Specialist Facilitator.
Hold a minimum Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification.
Be willing to work towards and obtain a Level 3 qualification if you do not already hold one.

Why Bradbury Gardens?

Unique residential setting within Pittville Park.
Opportunity to work with young adults and support their journey through education.
Strong multi-disciplinary working alongside therapists, clinicians and education teams.
Transport between sites arranged by National Star.
Supportive management team and development opportunities.
A role where your leadership, values and experience can have a lasting impact.

Hours
This role works on a two-week rota which includes:

Early shifts from 7:00am
Late shifts up to 10:00pm
Alternate weekends

Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of our students and the service.
Join Us
If you're an experienced care professional with a passion for learning disability support, strong values, and the ability to inspire others to deliver excellent care, we'd love to hear from you.
