We’re looking for an experienced Lead Driver to oversee local operations, mentor drivers, and ensure safe, efficient deliveries while being home every day. As a Lead Driver, you’ll not only haul freight but also serve as the go-to resource for driver support, compliance, and operational excellence.
Position Details
- Location: Los Lunas, NM (Home Daily)
- Role: Lead Driver – includes driving and leadership responsibilities
- Hauling Freight: Primarily Flatbed
- Equipment: Model year 2000 and older Peterbilt 379s with 3406E CAT engines
- Fleet Maintenance: On-site maintenance with NSC ATE for minimal downtime
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A vehicles for local deliveries
- Act as a mentor and trainer for new and existing drivers
- Assist with load planning, securement, and compliance checks
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, leadership team and site leaders
- Support safety initiatives and enforce company standards
- Provide feedback to improve operational efficiency
