Lead Curriculum Specialist
Summary
Designs and updates early-childhood curricula, creates e-learning materials, and leads quality-assurance reviews for teacher-training programs.
Job Responsibilities
Full Qualification Course development work
To give researched inputs to the Curriculum & Programmes (C&P) team (for example, gaps in relation to Skills Framework, sectoral changes etc.).
To develop module documents, assignment descriptors, marking rubrics, session slides, session plans, SOW and reading materials.
To consult faculty for peer review of materials during the development phase.
To develop e-learning materials for modules (for Technology Enhanced Learning).
To develop test bank – ten rather unique sets if applicable.
To conduct unpacking sessions.
Full Qualification Course re-development work
To review available materials and give researched inputs to C&P team (based on the source of relevant updates).
To communicate changes to stakeholders; to conduct unpacking sessions for the course under re-development when applicable.
To re-develop module documents, assignment descriptors, marking rubrics, session slides, session plans, SOW, and reading materials.
To re-develop e-learning materials for modules (Technology Enhanced Learning).
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Short Courses development work
To conceptualise relevant ECDA endorsed CPD.
To write proposals for ECDA's endorsement and SSG funding.
To prepare for engagement with external vendors to develop materials.
Quality Assurance work
To lead benchmarking exercises organised by HQ.
To carry out moderation work with lecturers.
To conduct teaching observation (of full-qual modules or CPD) to understand the use of C&P materials.
To follow-up module/course evaluation conducted by Strategic Planning Office.
To carry out audit work.
To work with internal stakeholders for curriculum review work.
Teaching
To teach full-qualification or CPD course as planned or when necessary.
Projects
As assigned according to work-plan and the needs of the division at a smaller scale.
Others on a case-by-case basis such as editing course materials, data/information submission to NIEC HQ/ECDA, support Programme Chair / NIEC HQ to conduct interviews for Discretionary Admission Exercise or language tests etc.
Job Requirements
Possess a Master's Degree in Early Childhood / Education or equivalent.
Possess at least 4 years of teaching in early childhood settings and gained curriculum leadership positions there. Experience in adult teaching will be advantageous.
Has experience in developing Early Childhood Curriculum for teacher education.
Proficient in using technology to enhance teaching and curriculum delivery.
