I'm recruiting for an experienced Lead Data Architect to support a major technology programme within the financial services sector.
This is a hands-on architecture role requiring strong experience across NoSQL databases, data modelling and distributed data environments.
You'll play a key role in shaping data architecture, designing scalable solutions and working closely with technical teams.
The Role
- Lead the design and development of data architecture solutions
- Work with NoSQL technologies, particularly Cassandra
- Develop complex data models
- Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
- Support scalable, distributed data environments
- Provide architectural direction while remaining technically hands-on
Skills & Experience
- Strong Data Architecture background, ideally at Lead or Principal level
- Cassandra / NoSQL – essential
- Strong hands-on data modelling skills
- Banking or Financial Services experience
- Domain-Driven Design experience
- Understanding of distributed database architectures
Desirable
- CQRS
- Yugabyte or Google Spanner
- Fintech experience
Contract Details
- Rate: £750 per day to contractor
- IR35: Likely Inside IR35, subject to confirmation
- Location: London – 3 days per week onsite
