Role Overview
We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer with strong expertise in AWS and database technologies (Oracle PL/SQL, PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL, Amazon Redshift). The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data platforms and drive enterprise-level data engineering initiatives.
Experience
10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Database Development.
Primary Skills
AWS Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Warehousing, SQL Development.
Technologies
Must Have: Redshift, Oracle PL/SQL, PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL.
Nice to Have: AWS (S3, Lambda), SQL, ETL/ELT, Data Modeling, Query Optimization, Performance Tuning, Linux/Unix, Git, CI/CD.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and implementation of data pipelines and data warehouse solutions on AWS.
- Design and optimize Amazon Redshift-based analytics platforms.
- Develop and review complex PL/SQL and PL/pgSQL procedures, functions, and scripts.
- Drive data migration and transformation across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redshift environments.
- Implement performance tuning strategies including indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
- Establish best practices for data governance, security, and quality.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and deliver data solutions.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and provide technical leadership.
Key Requirements
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS data ecosystem (Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda).
- Advanced expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and PostgreSQL (PL/pgSQL).
- Proven experience in enterprise‑scale data warehouse architecture.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks and pipeline design.
- Expertise in performance tuning and large‑scale data processing.
