The role demands deep expertise in Snowflake and Databricks, a proven track record of building end‑to‑end data pipelines, and the ability to lead a high‑performing engineering team to deliver robust, scalable, and secure data solutions that empower business insights.
- Architect and implement end‑to‑end data pipelines on Snowflake and Databricks.
- Lead a team of data engineers, providing mentorship, code reviews, and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
- Establish best practices for data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance.
- Optimize performance, cost, and reliability of data platforms.
- Drive adoption of CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring for data workflows.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and privacy standards are met.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to the data stack.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
- Document architecture, processes, and operational procedures.
- 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
- Deep expertise in Snowflake (data warehousing, performance tuning, security).
- Extensive hands‑on experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, ML pipelines).
- Proficiency in SQL, Python/Scala, and modern data integration tools.
- Strong background in data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and data pipeline orchestration.
- Experience leading and scaling engineering teams in an Agile environment.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure as code.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
