Lead Data Engineer


We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer to design and build a next-generation Risk & Entity Intelligence Platform. The ideal candidate will lead the development of scalable data pipelines, entity resolution systems, graph databases, and risk intelligence solutions while mentoring a team of engineers. This is a hands-on leadership role involving architecture, development, and technical decision-making.



Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Compliance, KYC/AML, Risk Intelligence, or Sanctions Screening platforms. Experience with sanctions, watchlists, PEP data, corporate registry data, beneficial ownership data, or adverse media datasets is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to NLP/ML, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and multilingual data processing is an added advantage.
  • Strong Python and SQL; workflow orchestration (Airflow, Dagster or Prefect); cloud data infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
  • Hands-on experience in building scalable ETL/Data Ingestion pipelines.
  • Expertise in Entity Resolution/Record Linkage tools (Splink, Dedupe, Senzing, Zingg, etc.).
  • Experience working with Graph Databases such as Neo4j, Memgraph, or TigerGraph.Familiarity with the FollowTheMoney (FTM) data model, OpenSanctions/yente, OpenCorporates, Sayari or Moody’s Grid ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, web scraping, and large-scale data acquisition.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
