Lead Data Engineer (Python) at BairesDev

As a Lead Data Engineer (Python), you will guide engineering efforts to build and optimize reliable data pipelines. You will coordinate with stakeholders and mentor team members, ensuring high data quality and architectural integrity across our systems.

What You'll Do:

- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews to foster growth within the engineering team.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing modern data processing frameworks.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot orchestration workflows and DAGs to guarantee high data quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align engineering workflows with business objectives.
- Implement structured data storage architectures and modeling patterns to organize enterprise data.
- Develop and integrate secure APIs to facilitate seamless connectivity between data platforms.

What we are looking for:

- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Development, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in Python, PySpark, and Apache Airflow.
- Strong hands-on experience in monitoring, optimizing, and fixing DAGs to ensure high data quality.
- Solid understanding of the Medallion Architecture and data modeling.
- Experience with API integrations and connecting data systems.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
