Lead Data Scientist - Machine Learning Models

Role : Lead Data Scientist

Experience : 8+ years.

Location : Bengaluru.

Role type : Client-facing Data Science leadership.

Key responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI projects for clients.

- Understand business problems and translate them into data-driven solutions.

- Manage and mentor technical teams, ensuring delivery quality and timelines.

- Own project planning, estimations, reviews, client expectations, billing, and utilization.

- Define technical strategy, roadmaps, and product initiatives.

- Support presales, client consulting, and stakeholder management.

Must-have technical skills :

- Programming : Python, R, SQL, NoSQL, Spark/PySpark.

- Libraries : NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow and related ML libraries.

- Cloud : AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Data Science : Statistics, hypothesis testing, and classical Machine Learning algorithms.

- Ability to solve complex business problems using data and analytics.

Preferred industry exposure :

- Experience delivering client solutions in one or more of these domains : Retail, Pharma/Healthcare, Banking, Insurance.

Ideal candidate profile :

- The ideal candidate is a senior, hands-on Data Science leader who combines strong technical expertise with consulting, people management, and client delivery ownership.

They Should Demonstrate :

- 8+ years of relevant Data Science/ML experience.

- Successful delivery of end-to-end client projects.

- Strong statistical modelling and ML problem-solving skills.

- Cloud and distributed data-processing experience.

- Team leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities.

- Experience with project governance, presales, and technical roadmap planning.
