Lead Data Scientist - ML/AI for Business Impact

Sky Italia is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to advance data-driven decisions across our entertainment and connectivity platforms in Milan. You will architect and deploy machine learning and AI solutions at scale, collaborating with cross-functional teams to turn complex data into business insights.

The role combines hands-on modeling with leadership responsibilities, mentoring junior scientists, and shaping data science practices.

Apply data workflow tasks including extraction, preparation, quality control, and KPI optimization. Develop and deploy ML/ DL models across cross-functional use cases. Lead technical design and ensure methodological rigor in solutions. Mentor and coach junior data scientists through reviews and guidance. Define and promote best practices in data science and experimentation. Act as technical reference point for complex analytical initiatives and problem framing. Identify opportunities where analytics and AI create measurable business value. Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field with research focus. Strong ability to translate business problems into analytical approaches. Proven experience leading data science projects and cross-functional collaboration.
