Lead Data Scientist

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience in ML model development
• Extensive experience with Python, SQL, ETL pipelines, and PySpark
• Proficient understanding of cloud data solutions and principles
• Experience with Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory
• Proven experience of running a Data Science team
• Proven experience of designing and delivering an automated decision-making system at scale
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Genuine enthusiasm for Data Science and active involvement in the community

Responsibilities:

• Lead our Data Science team
• Provide thought leadership to help our teams solve complex problems using large quantities of data
• Apply our expert knowledge of Data Science techniques, statistical methods, and data engineering technologies
• Put in place and execute a continuous learning and development programme to keep our team world-class
• Ensure our programmes of work are hypothesis-led
• Convert insight from data into decisions and new ways of working
• Help our team rapidly develop models and prototypes
• Develop models and prototypes into scalable business solutions
