Lead Data Solution Engineer
Summary
Lead the design and implementation of scalable HR data solutions, building ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and governance frameworks using Snowflake, SQL, and Python.
- Design and develop data models, processes, and systems aligned with business requirements and organizational standards
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and deliver innovative data solutions
- Lead end-to-end data solution design and implementation for HR systems
- Define and govern data architecture standards, enterprise data models, relational database design, and metadata management
- Build and optimize scalable ETL/ELT workflows for HR data integration
- Drive DevOps/CI-CD practices and automate deployment pipelines
- Collaborate with HR stakeholders and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory frameworks
- Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional teams
- Apply emerging technologies such as AI/LLM and advanced analytics to enhance HR data capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data management
- 6+ years designing enterprise data architectures across multiple domains
- 6+ years designing and optimizing ETL/ELT and data integration solutions
- 6+ years with data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms
- 6+ years with data modeling and relational database design
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Java, or similar coding languages
- 3+ years of experience designing, architecting, or building data products
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality methodologies, and metadata management
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as banking or financial services
- Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts for business leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Nice-to-have: Snowflake or cloud data platform certifications
- Nice-to-have: Experience with metadata-driven architectures, API design, domain-driven design, or data mesh patterns
- Nice-to-have: Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps experience
- Nice-to-have: Experience with AI/ML applications in HR data
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors and integration patterns
