Lead Database Specialist/Lead DBA Specialist/Database Administrator Specialist
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Lead Database Specialist/Lead DBA to design, implement, and manage enterprise database platforms supporting our next-generation Core Banking system. You'll play a key role in building highly available, secure, and scalable database solutions while working closely with cross-functional teams and global vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Design and manage Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments.
Architect and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
Manage database performance, monitoring, capacity planning, backup, and recovery.
Support database operations, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and deployments.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and offshore vendor teams to deliver enterprise database services.
Improve database reliability, security, and automation through best practices and new technologies.
Participate in on-call support for production environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
7–10 years of IT experience, including 5+ years as a Database Administrator.
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud, Oracle Database, Oracle RAC, Oracle Exadata, and PostgreSQL.
Experience designing enterprise HA/DR, backup & recovery, and database performance tuning.
Good knowledge of Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting.
Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or other automation tools is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
