Lead Design - Architecture
Job Summary
As a Design Lead - Architecture, you will be instrumental in defining and steering the architectural design direction for projects, working closely with the Design Director to ensure innovative and functional solutions that exceed client expectations. This role involves a collaborative, hands-on approach where you’ll engage with cross-functional teams, mentor junior architects, and drive a culture of design excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership
- Develop and implement design vision and strategy.
- Lead design teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of design innovation and excellence.
Project Delivery
- Manage project design development, documentation, and construction.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Conduct site visits and monitor construction progress
Team Management
- Mentor and develop junior architects and designers.
- Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Client Relationships
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Communicate design concepts and solutions.
- Manage client expectations and feedback.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
- Minimum 8–12 years of architectural design experience, with 3–5 years of experience leading architectural design teams
- Registered Architect or equivalent professional accreditation is preferred
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence across commercial, residential, mixed-use, hospitality, institutional, or industrial projects
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality design solutions within project budgets and timelines
- Experience in design management for large-scale orcomplex developments
