Lead Developer BMC Helix Technical Expert
Summary
Senior hands-on BMC Helix technical lead based in Pune who guides a team of 5–6 BMC developers through a transition and reversibility phase, establishing full autonomy over Helix ITSM. Day-to-day work spans Helix ITSM design/configuration, REST API and iPaaS integrations, CMDB, code reviews, and knowledge handover to a GCC team.
Summary: The BMC Helix Technical Expert / Lead is responsible for providing senior hands-on technical expertise and leadership during the transition and reversibility phase, aimed at establishing full technical autonomy of BMC Helix ITSM capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise & Development Leadership: Act as a senior technical expert and advisor; lead and guide a team of BMC developers; support technical design and decision-making; translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
BMC Helix Development & Integration: Design, configure, develop, and maintain BMC Helix solutions; manage incident, problem, change management; develop REST API and iPaaS integrations.
Reversibility & Knowledge Transfer: Collaborate with ITSM Architect to understand current architecture; identify knowledge gaps; validate documentation and technical artefacts; ensure effective knowledge acquisition.
GCC Handover & Capability Building: Mentor GCC Technical Lead; provide structured handover and coaching; support progressive ownership of platform activities.
Technical Quality & Platform Improvement: Establish BMC development standards; perform code/configuration reviews; identify opportunities for automation and platform optimization.
Key Requirements:
10+ years of relevant IT experience with BMC Remedy / BMC Helix development expertise.
Proven experience as a BMC Helix Technical Expert or Lead Developer.
Deep hands-on expertise in BMC Helix ITSM.
Strong experience with Digital Workplace, Service Catalogue, and CMDB.
Experience designing and implementing REST API / iPaaS integrations.
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.
Nice to Have:
Previous experience in technical transition or Knowledge Transfer.
Experience with BMC Helix Discovery and Operations Management.
Experience with AI capabilities related to BMC Helix.
Background in BMC Helix SaaS environments.
