For our client, an international consulting organization specializing in SAP-driven transformation projects for the financial services and insurance sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior SAP FS-CD Consultant to join implementation, optimization, and transformation projects for leading insurance companies in Germany and Switzerland.
As insurance organizations modernize their financial operations, optimize payment and collection processes, and transform their SAP landscapes, you will play a key role in designing and delivering future-ready SAP solutions based on SAP FS-CD.
You will work closely with insurance companies, business stakeholders, and technical project teams, helping them optimize financial processes and implement robust SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP FS-CD solutions.
- Design sustainable and scalable solutions based on SAP best practices and standard SAP FS-CD functionalities.
- Advise insurance companies on the optimization of payment, settlement, receivables, and financial clearing processes.
- Plan, organize, and lead workshops with clients and project teams.
- Develop business concepts, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Perform SAP system configuration (Customizing).
- Conduct functional testing and support integration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Train and support key users and end users.
- Collaborate closely with developers, solution architects, and business teams.
- Participate in SAP implementation, optimization, and transformation projects for insurance companies in Germany and Switzerland.
- Take ownership of specific functional areas, work packages, and project substreams.
Requirements
- Several years of experience as an SAP Consultant or Business Consultant.
- Hands-on experience with SAP FS-CD, SAP FI-CA, or SAP PSCD.
- Practical experience with SAP configuration (Customizing).
- Strong understanding of financial business processes, particularly payments, receivables, payables, and financial settlements.
- Experience in business process analysis and solution design.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
- Experience in leading workshops and collaborating with business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of SAP implementation and optimization projects.
- Experience with functional testing, integration testing, and UAT.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of selected project areas.
- German language proficiency at B2 level or higher (C1 preferred).
- Willingness to travel to Germany and Switzerland.
- Strong communication skills, initiative, and a customer-oriented mindset.
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience in the insurance industry.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe.
- Experience in Test Management.
- Experience leading workstreams, work packages, or subprojects.
- Mentoring or coaching experience.
- Experience working on international SAP transformation projects.
