We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join a migration project focused on moving a large set of applications and data from an on-prem environment to AWS. - Work closely with the architect to apply the agreed migration approach
- Ensure migrations are carried out consistently across the team
- Address real-life issues such as dependencies, environment gaps, and unexpected blockers
- Stay in sync with client teams whenever input or action is needed from their side
- Take responsibility for outcomes rather than waiting for instructions
- Maintain structure and process without overcomplicating the workflow
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with cloud migrations, with a clear understanding of common pitfalls and risks
- Proficiency in AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM) and lift-and-shift migration approaches and tools
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools
- Skills in CI/CD pipelines and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Understanding of network fundamentals and troubleshooting (VPC, routing, subnets) in cloud environments
- Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems
- Experience working in Agile teams
