Lead DevOps Engineer - Fintech

Role Overview:

Our client is a fast-growing, technology-led fintech company looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to own its AWS infrastructure and build a scalable DevOps function. This is a hands-on leadership role involving infrastructure architecture, cloud operations, reliability, automation, and security. You will also drive the adoption of AI agents in DevOps workflows while building and mentoring the engineering team.

What You'll Do:

- Own end-to-end AWS infrastructure, including multi-environment architecture, Kubernetes, deployments, and cloud costs

- Drive reliability and SRE practices through monitoring, observability, incident management, and SLOs

- Build automation across provisioning, deployments, rollbacks, and routine operations

- Integrate AI agents into workflows such as incident analysis, log monitoring, infrastructure management, and cost optimisation

- Strengthen infrastructure security across IAM, secrets management, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines

- Hire, mentor, and grow the DevOps team while defining the infrastructure roadmap

Ideal Candidate:

- 6 - 10 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, including team leadership

- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability tools

- Experience owning high-traffic, consumer-facing production infrastructure

- Understanding of AWS security, infrastructure automation, and cloud cost optimisation

- Experience hiring and mentoring DevOps engineers

- Hands-on experience using and implementing agentic AI tools in DevOps workflows

Good to Have:

- GPU infrastructure

- LLM gateway operations

- Experience working in regulated environments
