Lead DevOps Engineer

In this Senior Software Engineer role, you will design and build scalable automation for cloud infrastructure, enabling consistent deployments across cloud and on‑prem environments. You’ll implement IaC with Terraform, develop Python-based automation frameworks, and manage Puppet and PowerShell workflows for Linux and Windows. The role centers on turning manual processes into reusable automation while maintaining high code quality. • Design and develop scalable automation frameworks in Python for cloud and on‑prem deployments
• Enhance Terraform-based code-generation platforms using Python and Jinja2
• Develop and maintain Puppet modules, manifests, and Hiera for Linux/Windows
• Create PowerShell automation solutions for server management and hybrid cloud tasks
• Build internal automation tools, CLIs, and APIs to enable self‑service tasks
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines for automated validation and deployment
• Implement testing strategies (unit, linting, integration) for infrastructure code
• Collaborate with cloud, platform, and application teams to drive automation
• Create documentation, standards, and runbooks for automation frameworks and templates
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices to improve quality, security, and maintainability

• 5+ years of Python development with structured, testable code
• Strong Python packaging, virtual environments, dependency management, and code quality tooling
• Experience building CLI tools and automation frameworks using Python (Click, Typer)
• Hands-on Jinja2 templating for config/infrastructure code generation
• Experience with pytest for unit/integration testing of automation code
• Strong Terraform proficiency and experience generating Terraform HCL programmatically
• Familiarity with Terraform tooling (tflint, tfsec, terraform-docs, Terragrunt, Atlantis)
• Understanding of Terraform provider internals and resource lifecycle
• Hands-on Puppet experience with manifests, modules, Hiera, and related workflows
• PowerShell scripting for Windows Server administration and hybrid cloud integrations
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch) and CI/CD pipelines
• Linux and Windows production environments experience
• Familiarity with Pester for PowerShell testing
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy automation via PowerShell
