Lead DevOps Engineer

As Lead DevOps Engineer, you provide hands-on technical leadership within a small, distributed team, guiding standards, tooling and best practices. You’ll drive cloud-native infrastructure design and automation while mentoring engineers and coordinating with stakeholders. You’ll play a pivotal role in a major replatforming programme, rebuilding a core CRM on AWS and Kubernetes and supporting AI product infrastructure. This remote-first role offers strategic impact, strong collaboration, and exposure to modern cloud platforms.

• Provide technical leadership and day-to-day direction to a small, distributed DevOps team
• Establish consistent engineering standards, tooling and best practices across the team
• Serve as senior technical point of contact for stakeholders, development and infrastructure teams
• Lead design and implementation of cloud-native infrastructure, automation and deployment solutions using IaC and GitOps
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable deployments
• Improve monitoring, observability and incident response for reliability and resilience
• Contribute to replatforming efforts towards AWS and Kubernetes, identifying automation and performance improvements, and reducing operational risk

• Kubernetes in production environments (significant hands-on)
• Experience with at least two major cloud providers, especially AWS and Azure
• Strong Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices
• Proficiency with CI/CD automation and pipeline tooling
• Experience designing and operating resilient, cloud-native platforms
• Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership in DevOps/Platform/SRE
