Lead Diesel Technician: Weekend Shift

BEST Logistics Group is now seeking a Weekend Shift Shop Lead for our Kernersville Fleet Maintenance Department

Best Fleet Maintenance in Kernersville, NC is seeking a leader for our fast-paced shop, supporting the 3 fleets of trucks owned and operated by BEST Logistics Group, along with all of our company-owned vehicles and equipment. The Shop Lead position is imperative in providing top-level customer service and communications to our drivers & operations teams, as well as ensuring the fleet is operating safely and efficiently.

Weekend shift runs 5a to 5p, Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Order parts as needed

• Handle breakdown calls during shift hours

• Provide guidance, assistance, and training to our technicians

• Assign, monitor, and evaluate work

• Perform other duties and tasks as needed

Skills Required:

• Must have 2+ years of experience in a lead/supervisory role within a tractor-trailer maintenance department

• General knowledge of preventative maintenance for Class 8 Tractor Trailers

• Be a good communicator – both verbally, and electronically (Email, phone call and text) and with good listening skills

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Teams and Outlook and general Google researching)

• Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage tasks until they are complete

• Knowledge of FMCSA maintenance guidelines

• Good customer service skills
