We provide person-centered support and advocacy that enhances quality of life and promotes independence for individuals with and without disabilities always with dignity, respect, and meaningful connection at the center.For more than 50 years, Marrakech has supported over 1,000 individuals across Connecticut each year, helping people of all abilities build confidence, independence, and strong community connections.About the RoleAs a Lead Program Counselor (DSP), you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting by supporting the hiring manager and acting as a role model for your fellow staff. You’ll help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice.Your responsibilities may include:
Assisting with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines
Supporting medical needs and appointments
Following individualized support and behavior plans
Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
Completing routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff)
Working collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team

High School Diploma or GED
Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid
1-year of residential experience
Pay
$20.85 per hour
Additional $0.50 per hour with DDS Medication Certification
Certification can be obtained after hire if not already certified
Schedule
Tuesday – Friday 12:00p – 8:00p, Sa 8:00a-4:00p (40 FT)
