Lead Electrical Engineer (Data Center)

Job Summary

Leadsthe electrical maintenance team responsible for preventive maintenance andcomplex corrective repairs on critical electrical systems, ensuring safe andreliable operation of power distribution infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and managethe electrical team's daily activities; establish work schedules, assign tasks,and cross-train staff.
• Oversee all electricalbuilding systems including UPS, PDU, switchgear, generators, and LV/MVdistribution.
• Implement andcontinuously improve preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems.
• Maintain effectivebuilding-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals for electricalassets.
• Lead complexfault-finding, diagnosis, and corrective repair on critical electricalinfrastructure.
• Develop and manageswitching schedules for electrical isolation and restoration activities.
• Coordinate maintenanceefforts with outside contractors and OEM vendors for electrical works.
• Mentor and coachelectrical technicians; set and track team deadlines.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree inElectrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification/tradecertification.
• Several years ofexperience in mission-critical or data centre electrical systems maintenance.
• Strong working knowledgeof UPS, PDU, generators, LV/MV switchgear, and building management systems(BMS).
• Experience with complexautomatic control equipment, relay logic, and protection systems.
• Experience leading andmentoring technical teams in a 24/7 critical environment.
• Appointed or eligiblefor High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP) status preferred.
• Proficiency withCMMS/EAM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
