Job Summary
As a Lead Engineer at Advanced CAE Pte Ltd, you will lead engineering projects for process analyzer system integration, drive project execution, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to strategic growth in the Engineering Science sector.
Responsibilities
- Translate high-level project requirements into detailed, actionable engineering tasks with realistic technical estimates and risk identification
- Lead and manage engineering teams by distributing workload, monitoring performance, coaching, and mentoring junior staff to enhance team capability
- Direct design and costing activities for Analyzer Systems including Sample Handling Systems, Analyzers, and Racks/Cabinets/Shelters to ensure project feasibility and cost-effectiveness
- Implement and uphold engineering processes using best practices, standards, tools, policies, procedures, and templates to maintain quality and consistency
- Source, evaluate, and recommend new analytical products and sample system components to optimize system performance
- Provide engineering support for international projects in collaboration with other offices as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of classified information in compliance with company policies
- Oversee the generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and disposition of project and engineering documentation to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Conduct post-project reviews and manage the lessons learned process to drive continuous improvement
- Focus on understanding customer needs and resolving engineering challenges to enhance customer satisfaction
- Deliver sales support by addressing engineering issues related to system projects
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for major system project pursuits to support business development
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- More than 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical industries with solid understanding of analytical products and systems
- Proficiency in English to effectively communicate in a professional environment
- Ability to work independently with a task-driven and self-motivated approach
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to perform under pressure, willingness to travel, and flexibility to work extended hours to meet deadlines
