Lead Engineer Civil/Structural (m/f/d)

The Lead Engineer Civil/Structural is responsible for leading and coordinating all Civil and Structural engineering activities on complex industrial projects. The role ensures delivery of safe, compliant, and cost-effective design solutions while managing discipline resources, interfaces, quality, schedule, and budget. The Lead Engineer also provides technical leadership to project Civil/Structural teams and supports construction execution through all project phases.

- Lead and coordinate Civil/Structural engineering activities throughout all project phases
- Manage and mentor Civil/Structural engineers and designers within the project team
- Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards
- Coordinate with Process, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction, and Project Management teams
- Act as the primary Civil/Structural interface with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities
- Review and approve calculations, specifications, models, and drawings
- Support procurement activities, technical bid evaluations, and subcontractor selection
- Oversee CSA subcontractors and provide technical support during construction
- Resolve technical issues, manage design changes, and support project risk management
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and EHS requirements
Show your expertise
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in Civil/Structural engineering and construction
- Proven experience leading Civil/Structural teams on industrial, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor, or advanced technology projects
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, and industrial building design
- Experience managing multidisciplinary project interfaces and engineering deliverables
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Advanced knowledge of structural design principles and relevant codes
- Experience with structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, Robot, RFEM, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar
- Familiarity with BIM and coordination tools such as Navisworks and Revizto
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English and French
