Lead Exchange Connectivity Engineer
You will lead exchange connectivity end to end, designing, building, and operating feed handlers across connected venues. You will plan and deliver connectivity go-lives, debug complex production issues, make architectural decisions, set integration standards, mentor engineers, and contribute to HFT infrastructure where connectivity and execution overlap.
Responsibilities
- Own the design, build, and operation of feed handlers across connected venues
- Lead connectivity go-lives, including planning, staging, testing, cutover, and post-launch support
- Debug complex production connectivity issues across exchange protocols and internal systems
- Set technical standards for exchange integration
- Mentor engineers working on connectivity components
- Contribute to HFT infrastructure where connectivity and execution overlap
Requirements
- Extensive production crypto feed-handler experience across multiple venues at an institutional firm
- Deep understanding of market-data feed handling, order-lifecycle management, and multi-feed aggregation
- At least 2 years of Rust experience across synchronous and asynchronous code
- Demonstrable low-latency Rust development experience or at least 5 years of C++ experience in a low-latency environment
- Strong understanding of HTTP, WebSocket, and TCP/IP
- Understanding of the full go-live cycle, from integration and UAT through production cutover and support
- Experience leading multiple venue migrations end to end, including rollback procedures and minimising trading disruption
- Experience managing exchange-driven changes, upgrade lifecycles, and rapid go-live pressures
- Experience with AI-first development workflows, AI harness engineering, and quality assurance
- Technical leadership or team-lead experience
- Professional proficiency in English
