Oversee maintenance, repairs, and turnovers of housing units to ensure they meet safety standards and pass inspections, while managing vendors, emergency responses, and facility operations for a homeless services provider.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Facility Maintenance Lead is responsible for performing skilled maintenance and repair work while serving as the lead technician for daily maintenance operations across organizational facilities. This position coordinates daily work assignments, assists with preventive maintenance activities, supports contractor oversight, and ensures buildings, grounds, equipment, and building systems remain safe, functional, and well maintained. The Facility Maintenance Lead works closely with the Facility Manager and Vice President of Facilities to support efficient facility operations while providing technical guidance and mentorship to maintenance staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities and assist in assigning work orders as directed.
- Serve as the lead technician and technical resource for the maintenance team.
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to new and existing maintenance staff.
- Assist in prioritizing work orders based on operational needs and emergency situations.
- Monitor the quality and completion of maintenance work and communicate issues to program team.
- Attends Program team staff meetings with providing status/updates on work orders and apartment vacancies.
- Utilizes Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and update work order progress.
- Promote safe work practices and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for maintenance issues at assigned property.
