Lead Field Service Technician

As a Lead Field Service Technician here at Honeywell, you will lead and manage field service activities with a specialty in fire alarms, inspections, testing, installation, and troubleshooting. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of fire alarm systems for our customers by providing expert technical support and guidance.

You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you’ll work out of our designated location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the safety and compliance of buildings by ensuring fire alarm systems are installed, inspected, tested, and maintained to meet state codes and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead field service operations focused on fire alarm systems including inspections, testing, installation, and troubleshooting
  • Provide technical expertise and support to field technicians and customers to ensure compliance with state codes and standards
  • Coordinate and schedule service activities to meet customer demands and service level agreements
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on fire alarm systems and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and improve service delivery
  • Stay current with industry standards, codes, and advancements in fire alarm technology
  • Ensure all work complies with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

You Must Have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in field service preferably with a focus on fire alarm systems, including inspections, testing, installation, and troubleshooting
  • 1-2 years of technical knowledge of fire alarm systems
  • 1-2 years of experience leading field service teams or projects
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues on-site
  • Willingness to acquire NICET certification within the first year due to state code requirements
  • Ability to learn and manage software programs and strong computer literacy
