Lead Food Service Worker

We are looking for a dependable, hands-on, and motivated Lead Food Service Worker to join our school food service team!

This is a great opportunity for someone with food service experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and helping provide quality meals to students.

Enjoy a Monday–Friday schedule, daytime hours, no weekends or holidays, and summers off!

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with daily kitchen operations and meal service.
• Prepare food and assist with cooking breakfast and lunch.
• Follow recipes and established food preparation guidelines.
• Assist with placing food and supply orders.
• Monitor inventory and report supply needs.
• Receive, organize, and stock deliveries.
• Operate the POS system and handle cashier duties.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
• Assist with other kitchen duties as needed.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience required.
• K-12 school food service experience is a plus!
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Dependable, organized, and willing to take initiative.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Must be able to obtain required clearances and documentation to work in a school setting.
