Series B - Manufacturing and Aerospace - $75mil in Funding.
You are an engineer who ships in customer environments. Not demos. Not proof of concepts. Production systems that change how a factory floor operates, deployed into messy enterprise data stacks where nothing works the way the documentation says it does.
My client is a Series B manufacturing orchestration platform backed by top-tier investors, deployed across 15+ countries with customers including some of the largest aerospace and industrial manufacturers in the world. They are building out their US field engineering function and need a Lead FDE to be the first senior technical hire on the ground, reporting directly into the US leadership team.
This is a player-coach role. You will write Python and SQL daily. You will also set the standard for how the team operates, mentor junior FDEs as they come on, and own the technical relationship with enterprise customers from kickoff through go-live and beyond.
What you will do:
- Deploy AI-powered operational workflows into complex manufacturing and supply chain environments
- Build and own data pipelines across ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and monitoring
- Lead technical conversations with IT executives, architects, and operations stakeholders at Fortune 500 manufacturers
- Act as the bridge between the product and engineering teams in Paris and the customer reality in the US
- Shape the playbook for how field engineering scales as the company grows its US footprint
What you bring:
- 5+ years shipping software in customer-facing or field engineering roles
- Strong hands-on Python and SQL. You can build it, not just talk about it
- Experience with data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise integrations
- Comfortable working inside regulated or complex enterprise environments (aerospace, defense, industrial, or similar is a plus)
- US citizenship required due to customer security requirements
Comp: $250,000 to $35,000 range (base plus equity plus relocation support where needed)
