Lead Front-End Developer
Role Overview
We are looking for a full-time Front-End Web/Mobile Lead to oversee and drive the development of our web/mobile ordering, kiosk, and loyalty app. This role is critical in guiding the team to make sound architectural decisions, delivering high-quality releases, and managing resources responsible for deploying iOS and Android apps for customers. The ideal candidate will be a strong technical leader, a hands-on code contributor, and an advocate for best practices across the development lifecycle, including modern AI-assisted development workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of web and mobile applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Guide the team in making informed architectural trade-offs, aligning technical decisions with business goals.
- Drive high-quality release processes, ensuring timely delivery with minimal defects.
- Manage and mentor team members, including resources focused on deploying and maintaining iOS and Android apps.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Serve as a code contributor, actively participating in development alongside the team.
- Oversee and improve deployment processes for both web and mobile platforms.
- Incorporate and promote the use of AI-assisted development tools and workflows (e.g., code generation, debugging, testing, and productivity tooling) to improve engineering efficiency and output quality.
Required Qualifications
- Minumum 4 years experience working for software companies that's service the restaurant industry.
- Minimum of 6+ years leading development of web and mobile applications.
- Proven experience defining architecture and technical direction for new applications.
- Strong track record of managing development teams and coaching engineers to deliver high-quality work.
- Experience gathering requirements and interacting with customers directly.
- Understanding of SaaS business models and the technologies that support them.
- Familiarity with making and evaluating design trade-offs in an SDLC environment.
- Full-stack development experience.
- Experience leveraging AI tools within the development lifecycle (e.g., Copilot, LLM-based tools, AI-assisted debugging, test generation, or workflow automation) to enhance productivity and code quality.
- Development experience across multiple platforms, including Apache Cordova, Angular, React.JS, Vue, Ionic, React Native, and Bootstrap.
- Expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, REST APIs, HTML, JSON, XML, and CSS.
- Mastery of version control systems such as GitHub.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence for work management.
- Full understanding of Xcode & Android Studio for App Store and Google Play submissions.
Plus Factors
- Knowledge of eCommerce and online ordering solutions.
- Experience with payment gateway integrations, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
- Familiarity with messaging solutions (push notifications, WhatsApp, SMS).
- Proven ability to implement third-party SDKs.
- Advanced understanding of application security management.
- Experience building or contributing to AI-enhanced features, internal tooling, or developer productivity systems.
- Practical experience integrating or working alongside AI/ML-driven tools, APIs, or services within modern development workflows.
