Lead Full Stack Engineer (Java+Angular) @ SoftServe
Summary
SoftServe is hiring a Lead Full Stack Engineer in Wrocław, Poland to build and maintain full-stack features — Angular front end, Java/Spring back end, and Oracle/PostgreSQL/MongoDB databases — for a European public sector client, owning scalability, performance, security, and documentation across the stack.
- Master's degree with 15 years of professional experience, bachelor's degree with 17 years, or secondary education with 22 years
- Minimum 10 years of experience in software development, including minimum 10 years developing Java applications
- Minimum 4 years of experience with Angular (at least version 7+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS, together with front-end frameworks and libraries (Angular, Bootstrap, eUI) and modern build tools
- Proficiency in Java back-end stacks — Spring 5.x, Spring Boot 2.x, Spring Data 2.x, Spring Security 5.x, Hibernate 5.x, and Groovy with Grails (2.5.3) — and experience designing, building, and securing RESTful APIs and web services, including OpenAPI/Swagger documentation
- Proficiency with relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases, including schema design and query optimisation
- Experience with Git workflows (GitFlow, trunk-based) and an understanding of legacy systems using SVN; cloud services (AWS, Azure) including deploying and managing applications; containerisation and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes); authentication and authorisation standards (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT); and working in Agile environments
- One recognised certification such as AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, or Microsoft Azure Developer Associate, or an equivalent certification. Knowledge of REST API design standards, OpenAPI/Swagger, OWASP Top 10, secure SDLC practices, Agile/Scrum, DevOps methodologies, ITIL, and of EU institutional environments and public administration processes is considered an asset
- Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, corresponding to Level B2 or higher (CEFR)
- Capacity to ramp up quickly on new projects, collaborate within teams and take part in multi-lingual meetings with ease, apply security and cloud best practices, integrate front-end and back-end builds into CI/CD pipelines, and work both autonomously and as part of a team with a results-oriented mindset
