Lead Guard/Security Manager
PacArctic LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Lead Guard / Security Manager (LG/SM) to provide direct, on-site supervision of Electronic Security System (ESS) Operator and Security Guard personnel in support of United States Forces Korea (USFK) Headquarters.

This position is based on a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, with schedule flexibility required to support exercise and contingency operations.
The Lead Guard / Security Manager (LG/SM) is responsible for the direct, on-site supervision of ESS Operator and Security Guard personnel assigned to the USFK HQ Building. The LG/SM is both responsible for overseeing and personally capable of performing all assigned security duties in accordance with contract requirements, paragraphs 5.2 and 5.3. The LG/SM serves as the first point of escalation for all operational matters and plays a critical role in maintaining day-to-day security operations, personnel readiness, and reporting accuracy. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Provide direct, on-site supervision of all ESS Operator and Security Guard personnel assigned to the USFK HQ Building, ensuring professional conduct, operational readiness, and adherence to all contractual and regulatory requirements.
Oversee and, when necessary, personally perform all assigned security duties, including ESS operation, access control management, personnel and vehicle screening, and all associated tasks in accordance with paragraphs 5.2 and 5.3 of the contract.
Serve as the first point of escalation for all operational security matters, providing immediate guidance and direction during security incidents and emergency situations.
Conduct quality control reviews of all operational reports, logs, and security records prior to submission to the Supervisor, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate security coverage at all times, coordinating personnel assignments to meet operational requirements.
Conduct guard briefings at the start of each shift, communicating relevant security updates, post orders, and operational priorities to all assigned personnel.
Operate, monitor, and perform operator-level system checks on Electronic Security Systems (ESS), including alarm and intrusion detection systems and access control platforms.
Enforce personnel and vehicle screening procedures in strict accordance with established security policies and post orders.
Maintain and review alarm and intrusion detection records, including DA Form 4930-R, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with government reporting requirements.
Lead first-level incident response efforts, coordinating on-site personnel and communicating effectively with the Captain of the Guard and Facility Security Officer as required.
Adapt operational schedules and personnel assignments as necessary to support exercise and contingency operations.
Identify and report operational deficiencies, personnel performance issues, and security vulnerabilities to the Captain of the Guard for resolution.
Education and Experience:
Required:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in physical security operations.
Demonstrated experience in a security leadership role, such as Shift Supervisor, Team Lead, or equivalent position.
Hands-on experience operating and monitoring Electronic Security Systems (ESS), including access control and intrusion detection systems.
Proven proficiency in managing shift schedules, conducting personnel briefings, and reviewing operational logs for accuracy and compliance.
Demonstrated experience in personnel screening, vehicle screening, and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
Familiarity with government security policies, reporting requirements, and security record-keeping standards, including DA Form 4930-R.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supervising security personnel in an operational environment.
Hands-on proficiency in operating, monitoring, and conducting operator-level checks on Electronic Security Systems (ESS), including access control and alarm/intrusion detection systems.
Strong working knowledge of personnel and vehicle screening procedures and the enforcement of security policies and post orders.
Ability to conduct thorough quality control reviews of operational reports, security logs, and records prior to submission to higher authority.
Proficiency in managing shift schedules and ensuring adequate, compliant security coverage across all assigned posts.
Competency in maintaining and reviewing alarm and intrusion detection records in accordance with regulatory requirements, including DA Form 4930-R.
Ability to provide clear, decisive guidance during security incidents and serve as the immediate on-site escalation point for all operational matters.
Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to produce accurate, professional security documentation and reports.
Ability to conduct effective guard briefings, communicating operational priorities and security updates clearly to all shift personnel.
Availability to work a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, with schedule flexibility to support exercises and contingency operations as required.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
Prior experience working on a U.S. military installation or in an OCONUS security environment, preferably within the USFK or Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility.
Familiarity with USFK-specific security directives, regulations, and operational protocols.
Experience coordinating directly with a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or senior security management in a government contract environment.
Knowledge of force protection principles and anti-terrorism/force protection (AT/FP) procedures applicable to U.S. military installations.
Experience working within a performance-based government security contract.
Bilingual or working proficiency in Korean is a plus.
Relevant professional certifications in security operations or management (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or equivalent).
