Responsibilities:
  • We will lead the development and support of system hardware and firmware solutions.
  • We will provide subject matter expertise across RF systems, RF signal conditioning, EW technologies, jamming systems, signal and data processing, and hardware architecture.
  • We will act as the technical lead for hardware activities across active programmes.
  • We will collaborate with international engineering teams to transfer technology into deployable hardware products.
  • We will support the integration of hardware and software applications through robust interface design.
  • We will guide product development activities to ensure solutions meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements.
  • We will produce and present technical reports, briefings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • We will support bids, proposals, and future product development initiatives.
  • We will identify technical risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • We will drive innovation and continuous improvement across hardware design and development activities.

We are hiring a Lead Hardware Engineer for a Bristol-based hybrid role within our cutting-edge Electronic Warfare product team. This is a unique opportunity to become our UK technical authority for hardware in a specialist EW environment, with significant ownership and autonomy across current and future programmes. You will work closely with highly skilled international engineering teams, contribute to advanced defence and naval technologies, and help shape future capability development and product strategy. The role has no regular travel requirements.
