WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Lead Health Assessment Specialist, you will: Conduct pulmonary function testing and supports Coal Workers' Health Surveillance Program field activities by administering spirometry tests, assisting with medical testing procedures, maintaining equipment, collecting and analyzing health data, and applying established program protocols. Collect, code, organize, archive, and maintain medical records and surveillance data while ensuring the confidentiality of personally identifiable health information in accordance with the Privacy Act, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations. Lead and coordinate team workload by distributing assignments, monitoring progress, adjusting priorities, tracking milestones, and ensuring timely completion of surveillance program activities while providing guidance and reporting work status to management.
