Lead IaC Engineer (Azure)

Lead IaC Engineer (Azure) | Remote |

You will:

  • Drive migration from manual/ClickOps provisioning to a fully automated Azure IaaS model using Ansible and Terraform

  • Build modular, reusable IaC components for Windows workloads (Windows Server, AD, SQL Server, IIS)

  • Automate environment promotion across Dev → Acceptance → Pre-Prod → Production

  • Build Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions pipelines with policy guardrails, Key Vault integration, and security scanning

  • Refactor legacy PowerShell scripts into structured, version-controlled IaC modules

  • Mentor internal engineers and establish documentation standards and playbooks

You bring:

  • Senior-level Azure IaaS experience, including migrations from on-premise environments

  • Hands-on Ansible (preferred) and Terraform expertise

  • Strong PowerShell and Windows stack knowledge (AD, SQL Server, IIS)

  • Experience with CI/CD-integrated infrastructure pipelines and multi-environment deployments

  • VMware-to-Azure migration background is a plus

  • Clear communicator, able to work across engineering, security, and leadership teams
