Discussion

Summary

Hands-on integration lead at a retail-data iPaaS company: architects enterprise integration pipelines for scale, mentors a 2-4 engineer team, and helps shape the product roadmap. Core stack spans iPaaS platforms (Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi), API-first design (REST/SOAP, OAuth2), Python/JavaScript, SQL, and AWS/Azure/GCP.

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid) Experience: 7-10 years

As our Lead Engineer – Integrations, you won't just implement solutions — you will architect integration strategies, mentor a growing team, and shape the core fabric of our product's success. We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives on responsibility, innovation, and ownership.

What your first 3 months will look like:

  • Take full ownership of ongoing and new integration pipelines, designing them for efficiency, resilience, and scale.

  • Lead and mentor a compact, agile engineering team (2–4 engineers)

  • Actively collaborate with our product and client teams to understand real-world integration challenges and shape solutions.

Where will you be in 6 months?

  • You will have scaled up multiple integration frameworks.

  • You will have established our playbooks for best practices across data security, compliance, and operational excellence.

  • You will be the go-to leader in aligning technical architecture with evolving business needs.

  • You will directly influence the roadmap alongside the CEO, Product Head, and Engineering leadership.

What you’ll get:

  • A leadership role in one of the fastest-evolving technology spaces (iPaaS, Retail Data Integration).

  • Freedom to innovate, build, and ship — minus the bureaucracy of large organizations.

  • A tight-knit team that values intelligence, autonomy, and speed.

  • Exposure to complex, high-impact client projects and an opportunity to scale your career faster than at traditional firms.

This is a role for someone who is not looking just to do a job, but to build a high-impact engineering story with us. If that sounds like you, we would love to meet.

Requirements

You will bring:

  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience in architecture and delivering enterprise-grade integrations across diverse systems, especially in data-driven environments such as retail, CPG, and consumer intelligence.

  • Deep expertise in modern iPaaS platforms (such as Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, TIBCO, WSO2) with a strong grasp of each platform's strengths, limitations, and extensibility for both real-time and batch integrations. Experience with Informatica is good to have.

  • Strong command over API-first architecture, including REST/SOAP protocols, OAuth2, API gateways, and custom connector development. Experience designing scalable and secure API interfaces for internal and client-facing applications.

  • Fluency in data transformation and automation standards, including JSON, XML, SQL, and Python/JavaScript, with a keen understanding of how to build resilient data pipelines and workflow automations that reduce manual effort and accelerate delivery.

  • Practical knowledge of cloud-native development and deployment, especially in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments, including experience with services like Lambda, Cloud Functions, and message queues (e.g., SQS, Pub/Sub).

  • Experience integrating with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Snowflake, Redshift, Shopify, and Google Analytics, including custom connector or plugin development where native integrations fall short.

  • Must have prior experience leading or managing a team of 3–4 Team Members.

  • Strong grasp of data privacy, compliance, and governance principles relevant to handling sensitive business data across integration touchpoints.
