Lead International Economist

This vacancy is for a Lead International Economist in the International Trade Administration within the Department of Commerce.

As a Lead International Economist, you will perform the following duties: Analyzes international trade and economic issues and evaluates policy recommendations for their effects on U.S. trade policies and initiatives. Provides technical, statistical and analytical assistance to Industry and Analysis and other units in the International Trade Administration. Prepares international trade and economic background and briefing materials for senior executive officials to use in policy development and promulgation. Produces, analyzes, and publishes economic information and reports that are clear, accurate, and technically sound to support agency programs, policy development, and informed decision-making. Represents the agency by conducting presentations and briefings for senior officials, interagency partners, and external stakeholders. This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Lead International Economist GS-0110-15, FPL GS-15 positions within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location or local commuting area with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
