Lead Legal Administrative Specialist

As a Lead Legal Administrative Specialist, you will provide administrative oversight to a team of subordinates and serve as a senior analyst to the supervisor on mission and/or administrative programs requiring application of a wide range of analytical methods and evaluative techniques.
Communicate the organization's strategic plan, mission, values and vision to the team.
Ensure compliance with background check and decision service protocols and provide information regarding case status and progress to appropriate Asylum Division, ICE and CBP personnel as well as the public.
Train the LAS team in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques, and provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures.
Serve as a mentor, facilitator and/or negotiator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among team members.
Develop briefings, presentations, reports and other communications for management
Provide administration oversight to a team of subordinates. Lead subordinate team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees.

Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S. Federal or Military employee serving overseas. Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a probationary period of 1 year.
