Lead Logistics Management Specialist

As a Lead Logistics Management Specialist (Supply Officer) with the Information and Logistics Management Division, Supply and Equipment Management Branch, Supply Team, you will be responsible for planning, developing and monitoring the supply management program. Including acquisition, receiving, inventory management, warehousing, and cataloging. Customer support is provided to GSFC, Wallops Flight Facility (WFF), other NASA Centers, and Cooperative Administrative Support Unit (CASU) customers.

Plans, develops, and monitors the supply management program which includes acquisition, receiving and inspection, inventory management, warehousing, and cataloging.

Analyzes and evaluates the adequacy of automated supply systems to provide guidance on the Advanced Materials Management System to Supply Management System transition.

Monitors, evaluates, and makes recommendations on contractor supply management operations and performance. Includes the review of Work Instructions and performance metrics monitoring.

Provides guidance, advice, and recommendations on sources of supply for technical parts and flight fasteners for scientific and engineering customers, both Center and Agency.

Acts as the liaison with functional counterparts at NASA and other federal agencies on matters related to supply.

Operates within policy and budgetary guidelines, advising the Supply and Equipment Management Branch leadership of team requirements and workload scheduling challenges.

Establishes work assignments, schedules, and goals for the team based on Branch guidance. Provides performance feedback to first line supervisor.
