Lead Mammography Technologist
Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, applying x-ray energy, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. Is multi-skilled in the additional area of mammography. Will also perform procedures in Bone Density. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
- Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs;
- assists practitioner with percutaneous localizations and aspirations of the breast;
- optimizes mammography procedures by completing QA-QC protocols
- Performs related duties as required.
- Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Certifications: ARRT (R, M), state license if required
