Lead Manager Communications & PR
This position requires office presence of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
We are seeking a strategic communications professional to serve as Lead Manager Communications & PR on the Corporate Media Relations Team. In the role, you will be responsible for managing and leading strategic external Public Relations (PR) communications programs to advance our corporate narrative, support business priorities and enhance our reputation in the marketplace. This job title is used exclusively for employees that roll up into the Corporate Communications business unit.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop and implement comprehensive communications and PR strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
Establish, develop and maintain relationships with media, industry analysts and influencers to help advance the AT&T story, while managing media inquiries and acting as a company spokesperson.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of business, industry and media trends and act as a strategic counselor to business leadership.
Write, edit, and oversee the publication of various communications materials, including articles, press releases, social media content, digital assets, etc.
Drive PR stories, narratives, and content that reflect the company's priorities, values, and position on key topics, while identifying timely opportunities to position AT&T in relevant news and industry conversations.
Advise executive leadership on PR & communications strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate communications and PR initiatives, manage special projects, and support company events, announcements and community engagement activities.
Enhance and implement media relations processes, workflows and best practices that support proactive storytelling and enhance team effectiveness.
Track and analyze the performance of communications and PR activities using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
Job Contribution: An experienced professional, recognized as an expert, creatively resolving complex issues with broad and in-depth knowledge. Leads significant projects with strategic autonomy, influencing executive decisions. Mentors less experienced staff, implements long-term plans impacting the organization, and frequently collaborates with senior leadership.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience.
