About the role
As a Customer Insight Senior Manager , the role is responsible for understanding and measuring how customers think, feel and behave and how Asda best meets their needs. You'll business partner Executive teams and work closely with Customer, Commercial and Retail leadership teams, Strategy and the wider Customer, Marketing and data teams.
As well as leading and developing a team you'll:
- Own, manage and develop customer insight for the business, partnering the Executive and aligned to the key strategy pillars
- Lead the insight required to inform the development and design of customer propositions and the Customer Plan
- Measure the success of our business transformation for target customers, from comms through to customer experience.
- Provide a comprehensive narrative of customer mindset, through our Asda Community (Pulse of the Nation), external sources and regular customer listening.
- Ensure all our agencies are managed according to insight best practice and deliver projects that are best in class, to time and budget
- Embed ‘putting customers at the heart of everything' across the business, supporting other business areas with insight and research (through sharing and self-serve process)
- Work cross-functionally to solve business problems and deliver insight on priority strategic topics
About you
You'll be a technical expert in research and data; able to apply best practice to briefs, selecting appropriate methodologies, managing agencies, analysing and interpreting data and drawing conclusions/recommendations
- You'll have demonstrable experience of working at a senior level in a strategic insight role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment is critical
- Have experience of managing projects with multiple senior stakeholders
- You'll have experience of leading and developing teams – nurturing talent and giving team members the opportunity to grow and develop in their roles
