About the role
A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join & give leadership to the Stantec Mechanical Engineering team. Working out of our Perth CBD office you will form an integral part of the Leadership for our Mechanical Engineering team.
As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be reporting directly to the Mechanical Discipline Leader and be responsible for the following day to day activities;
- Lead and coordinate Design Engineers, Designers and Design Teams
- Perform Design Tasks, Calculations and Provide Engineering Solutions
- Review and Check Design calculations, reports and Drawings.
- Develop Scopes of Work and Manage the activities of Design Sub-Consultants and External Design Resources
- Assist in the development of proposals.
- Lead Safety in Design within in the discipline team continuously improving our culture of SID
- Prepare Design Reports
- Assist in the Preparation of Material Take-offs
Development of Estimates for Engineering Work - Assist in the Preparation of Technical Specifications, Scopes of Work and Datasheets for Tender Documentation
