Lead .NET Developer

Want to step into technical leadership without giving up coding? We're looking for a strong Senior .NET Developer / Technical Lead to lead five developers while remaining approximately 80% hands-on.

You'll work directly with the CEO and alongside an experienced Principal Engineer, designing and building customer-facing software while helping shape technical decisions, code quality and development practices. This is a role for someone who can do more than write good code. You'll need to understand an established product, solve complex technical problems and turn business requirements into well-designed software.

What you'll do

• Design and develop customer-facing software using C# and .NET/.NET Core
• Lead, mentor and provide technical guidance to five developers
• Own technical solutions from business requirement through to production
• Build new functionality and modernise an established .NET platform
• Conduct code reviews and drive strong development practices
• Design and develop APIs and integrations
• Work across SQL Server, Azure DevOps and CI/CD
• Introduce and champion effective use of AI-assisted development tools
• Work directly with the CEO on priorities, solutions and technical trade-offs

What we're looking for

You'll be an experienced Senior .NET Developer, Lead Developer or Technical Lead who still wants to code every day.

You'll bring:

• Strong commercial C# and .NET/.NET Core development experience
• Experience designing and personally building complex software solutions
• Strong SQL Server, APIs, Azure DevOps and CI/CD experience
• Experience improving or modernising established .NET applications
• Technical leadership through mentoring, code reviews and technical decisions
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders

Experience with Angular, Azure, GitHub Copilot/AI development tools or mobile applications would be advantageous.
