Lead .NET Test Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Lead .NET Test Automation Engineer to drive test automation strategy and quality engineering across a large-scale digital platform. In this role, you will lead test automation engineers, evolve an existing automation framework, and establish quality standards across the delivery lifecycle.

You will combine strong hands-on expertise in C# and .NET test automation with technical leadership, test architecture, and release quality ownership. A key focus will be extending existing automation capabilities, optimizing API and UI test coverage, and ensuring reliable testing of bilingual applications, including Arabic right-to-left interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the test automation strategy across multiple teams, delivery milestones, and release cycles
• Extend, maintain, and optimize the existing automation framework built with C#, .NET, Selenium WebDriver, and Reqnroll, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Define the appropriate balance between API and UI automation, identify coverage gaps, and establish reusable testing components and best practices
• Lead and mentor test automation engineers, review automation code, provide technical guidance, and promote consistent engineering standards
• Establish quality criteria, evaluate test results and outstanding defects, assess release risks, and provide evidence-based release-readiness recommendations
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage for English and Arabic interfaces, including right-to-left layouts, text rendering, navigation, and user interactions
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are clear, measurable, and testable
• Identify opportunities to improve automation efficiency, test execution reliability, and feedback cycles throughout the software development lifecycle
• Coordinate testing activities during release preparation and post-release support, ensuring timely identification and assessment of quality issues

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in software test automation (5+ years), including technical leadership and ownership of automation strategy (1+ years)
• Advanced hands-on expertise in C# and .NET for developing and maintaining automated testing solutions
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and Reqnroll, or comparable BDD-based automation frameworks
• Experience designing, extending, and maintaining established automation frameworks in complex application environments
• Solid understanding of API testing, UI automation, test architecture, and automation design patterns
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and supporting continuous testing practices
• Experience defining quality gates, analyzing defects, assessing risks, and supporting release decisions
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish technical standards
• Experience testing complex web applications, including localization and bilingual user interfaces
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile test automation, including applications using embedded WebViews
• Knowledge of accessibility testing and relevant standards
• Experience with performance testing and non-functional quality assurance
• Familiarity with testing AI-powered features and applications using large language models (LLMs)
• Knowledge of Arabic and experience testing right-to-left interfaces
• Experience working in fixed-scope delivery environments with formal release milestones and hypercare periods
