Lead Network Security Engineer

Salary: $145 - $165 Phr Inc Super Weekly Pay Options

• 12 + 12 + 12 month contract – 40 Hours PW
• Canberra, ACT – On Site
• NV1 Security Clearance

Our client Our client, a key agency in Australia's national security and intelligence sector, require the services of a Lead Network Security Engineer.

Duties of the Lead Network Security Engineers:

• Plan, implement and operate network services and systems, including hardware and virtual environments.
• Test and maintain network infrastructure, including software and hardware devices, and provide feedback on network requirements, architecture and infrastructure.
• Assess complex information systems using contemporary security frameworks, toolsets, and knowledge of malicious actor techniques, tools and processes.
• Assess critical infrastructure systems in a collaborative team environment and contribute advice on hardening and defending systems against advanced threats.

Skills and Experience Required

• Ability to implement, maintain and assess and recommend improvement to established network practices.
• Ability to configure and utilise computer protection components (e.g. hardware firewalls, servers, routers) as appropriate.
• Ability to assess network security architectures and provide recommendations on improving. Ability to apply defence in depth in network design and configuration.
• Ability to assess network device configurations and provide recommendations on improving network security.
• Demonstrated experience in securing network communications.
