NUWAY Alliance is currently looking for a great candidate to work at our Minneapolis location in a full-time capacity as a Lead Nurse. The ideal candidate would have past experience in mental health or substance abuse and have Monday-Friday availability, with an on-call rotation.
The rate for this role is $35.00-$43.00 per hour.

Position Overview
This position works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager to oversee the relationship with the nursing staff and other medical personnel. The Nursing Lead role is to supervise Nursing Staff and, in collaboration with each site leader and technicians ensure all NUWAY policy/procedures are being followed as well as NUWAY staff providing thorough and quality care. The Nursing Lead trains all staff as necessary and performs any duties in the absence of Nursing Staff for all residential locations. The Nursing Lead will provide coaching and guidance to the Nursing Lead (LPN). The Nursing Lead must be able to maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines and HIPAA requirements.
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Required:
- Must be a current Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Minnesota
- Must be age 18 or older
- Must be fluent with electronic medical records
- Must have current First Aid/CPR Certification obtained within 30 days of starting work
- Must be able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
- Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds
- Possess maturity, patience, understanding and empathy with recovering individuals and work with a multidisciplinary team
- Physical Demands: Sitting for extended periods of time. Daily use of general office equipment. Lifting (max 25 pounds), minimal reaching, bending and stooping. Ability to effectively navigate program or office environment such as ascending and descending steps, passing through doorways and entrances, and accessing program/office facilities
- Conducts self in a professional manner
- Possess excellent oral and written communications skills
- Competent computer skills and able to effectively enter information in various systems
- Proficiently understand, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English. Able to effectively document services in writing formatted in English.
Preferred:
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing
- Two or more years of experience with a working knowledge in the field of Chemical Dependency
