Lead Patient Access Representative

• Lead and support daily team operations by creating efficient staff schedules and managing essential department resources to promote a smooth, collaborative workflow.
• Serve as a compassionate guide for patients and care providers, verifying insurance coverage, clearly explaining financial responsibilities, addressing insurance coverage details, and proactively communicating any coverage adjustments.
• Stay ahead of industry updates by monitoring insurance policy changes and sharing timely guidance to empower your team with the latest information.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 1 year of experience OR 2 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of experience can be used in lieu of education, if applicable.

Additional Preferences:

• Prior experience in patient access, registration or healthcare revenue cycle operations.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical or ambulatory care setting.
• Strong working knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification and pre-authorization procedures.
