Lead Product Designer
You will own transaction workflows, data displays, and feature execution for DeFi products. You will translate research into product ideas, workflows, and detailed interactions; create design artifacts and prototypes; partner with Product and Engineering; advocate for users; shape design vision; facilitate reviews and workshops; mentor designers; and use qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions.
Responsibilities
- Synthesize Product, Engineering, and Marketing needs into comprehensive design deliverables.
- Translate research insights into ideas for new products and features, then design workflows and detailed interactions.
- Support product development with wireframes, user flows, journey maps, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and evaluative research.
- Partner with Product and Engineering peers to define initiatives, create solutions, and represent the user throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with UX Research, UX Writing, Brand, and Product leadership to shape the design vision.
- Elevate design quality through feedback, design reviews, presentations, and design-thinking workshops.
- Mentor designers on craft, quality, experience, and processes.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to make informed design decisions.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in Product Design, Interaction Design, UX Design, or related fields.
- Experience designing complex fintech, crypto, or web3 products and solving problems from scratch.
- Understanding of DeFi, DEX trading, crypto wallet management, token swaps, cross-chain bridges, and the crypto ecosystem.
- Ability to balance advanced trading features with intuitive user experiences for novice and professional traders.
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate ideas and advocate for design decisions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, UX Writers, and Researchers.
- Understanding of design-critical thinking and user-centered design methodologies.
- Understanding of experimentation and research techniques and ability to validate designs independently.
